Make sure your photographer knows your wedding venue
The photographers on our list of recommended local suppliers know Lapstone Barn inside out. They know the best places for the best shots at the best time of day. They know the wet weather plan and how the sun and natural light changes throughout the venue during the day. If you choose a photographer who is not on our list, we will be delighted to show them round Lapstone Barn before your wedding day so that they know it inside out too.
Get to know your photographer
Meet up with your photographer well before your wedding day and have a good chat about anything and everything! You will feel so much more comfortable on the day if you’ve got to know the person behind the lens – who will be spending a lot of time up close and personal with you on your wedding day!
Plan your shots
Who, when and where? Formal shots can take a long time to organise, so plan your essential group shots and ask one of your bridal party to make sure everyone is in the right place at the right time. This will leave you with more time to enjoy your party!
Arrange an engagement shoot
If you are feeling a bit camera shy, these are a great way of helping you feel more comfortable being photographed together. Why not plan it at your wedding venue so you can explore it with your photographer before your wedding day, or somewhere else that is special for you both.
Phone a friend
Ask a few friends to send you a few photos via Whatsapp the next day, or even better, ask someone to print you a few before you go away on honeymoon. It’s very special having a few snaps to enjoy looking at when you are away, without having to be glued to your phone! It can take a few weeks to get the final edit of your professional photos, so these will help keep your memories alive till then!
